What is that fish on the end of your line? Is it good to eat? What tackle and baits should you use? How big do they get? Vic Dunaway, nationally acclaimed fishing author who learned during a half-century on the water, answers all your questions in one compact volume: Sport Fish of the Atlantic.
Sport Fish of the Atlantic is a practical guide covering every species you'll likely see along the Atlantic coast. Each fish is shown in original illustrations meticulously painted for this book. Take this guide along as the fishing companion you'll find valuble year after year.
The book features nice and clear illustrations. Along with the illustrations the book includes other names, habitats, description, size, food value, game qualities, recommended tackle and baits and finally fishing systems. The book covers everything. I have yet to catch a game fish that wasn't accurate summarized in this book. This book is a must own for people who are going from casual fishing to serious fishing. It is a great starting point as a learning tool.
ProsWide range of information including food value and game qualities Highly accurate

Not quite the amount of detail I would have liked and some species I would have expected were missing. I want something better.
ProsIncludes description of food quality.
ConsNot enough detail on differences between similar species such as tunas. Not high enough quality or quantity of pictures.
