Bought these thinking they would probably be ok and work for a couple times. I was wrong these are high quality and will last a long long time. Super easy to hammer in the sand with a rubber mallet, or as we did the first time when we forgot a mallet, dig a hole with your hand and push and twist them in. Work better than expected and are a phenomenal deal! Iâ€;™;m ordering 4 more at this great price.
ProsStrong easy to carry Work for behest surf rod
ConsI didn’;t buy enough !

I bought these rod holders and do a lot of striper fishing and these holders seem to do a great job of holding the fishing rod while the big fish bite much better than other rod holders. Definitely worth the money.
ProsLightweight easy to use
ConsWould be cool to have received some sort of lashing to hold holders together.

These sand spikes are made from what appears to be schedule 30 PVC. I prefer schedule 40, but there is enough material there that if you needed to tap them into the sand they should not break. The cross pin is securely fastened, I do not think it will pull out like some other spikes I have.
ProsDoes what it is supposed to do and should last.
ConsWish the PVC was a little thicker.

This sand spike is a must have for and pier or surf fisherman. This spike is easy to sink into sand or dirt and the curld lip is a nice feature to keep your rod from getting scratched.
ProsVery cheap. Quality product

You hate carrying them around, but you can't live without them. These are well-made and very nicely priced. Beats making them out of PVC pipe yourself.
ProsGood quality and cheap!

It's a sand spike alright.

Sure....there isn't much to a sand spike and yeah...it's pretty easy to make one yourself for next to nothing but given that this costs just a few bucks anyway I feel like it's worth it in the time saved not having to make that steep angled cut across a PVC pipe that they achieve on the "spike end." The flared lip is a nice touch as well. I suppose they could have sanded the edges a bit to remove the snags but again...for a few bucks that's beyond nitpicking. Simple, inexpensive and works...what more do you need?
Great for surf fishing

These are some nice PVC sand spikes for surf fishing. The cut on the end makes it easy to get down in the wet sand and holds tight so your rod does not fall over. The price is not bad for some pre-cut PVC pipe.
